Overwatch 2: Junkenstein's Revenge Halloween Event Start Date

Overwatch 2 just released in early October, which means the game is already ripening up for a special Halloween event despite only being in Season 1. Blizzard has already started releasing some details about this event, including its name and when it will start. Here's everything you need to know about Overwatch 2's Junkenstein's Revenge: Wrath of the Bride Halloween event start and end dates.

The Overwatch 2 Halloween event is just one of the many Halloween gaming events gamers have to look forward to this month. And, with Overwatch 2's launch already being so rough—long queue times have plagued many players and Blizzard mistakenly locked a chunk of the roster's characters for many players—a special event is just the thing that gamers need to get their minds off the problems.

The Overwatch 2 Junkenstein's Revenge: Wrath of the Bride event will run from October 25 to November 8. This Halloween event was a yearly to-do in the original Overwatch, and it always added a new PvE (player versus environment) mode and new seasonal skins for players to collect.

Of course, Blizzard has yet to share any vital details about what the event will encompass, but based on a small screenshot shared in one of Blizzard's blog posts detailing Overwatch 2's first season (as well as a content roadmap for the future), it looks like the event may take place inside a castle of some sort. Perhaps it will even be a haunted castle.

Again, Blizzard has been very sparse with details, but based on the way these events have worked in the past, Junkenstein's Revenge: Wrath of the Bride will most likely be a PvE game mode of some kind.

And, based on the artwork seen thus far, players will once again be fighting the Zomnics first introduced in the original Overwatch's Halloween events. It's also believed that Sombra, one of the many characters available in the game, will act as the big bad of the event.

It also looks like the PvE event will focus on four main characters: Sojourn, Junker Queen, Kiriko and Ashe. You can unlock Kiriko and learn more about her abilities by leveling up the Battle Pass. Sojourn and Junker Queen are also pretty easy to unlock, and you'll be able to see how they all work in the event if you haven't tested them out yourself just yet.
