Netflix has not confirmed the next season of Ozark, and is unlikely to announce another season for at least a month. However, Ozark Season 4 could be coming next year according to its makers, who say they have already planned out another two seasons of plot for the Netflix show starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney.

This large gap between Seasons 2 and 3 can mostly be explained by the busyness of its main actors. In between seasons, Bateman starred in and directed HBO's The Outsider, while Linney returned to Tales of the City for the show's Netflix reboot.
Ozark has made Bateman an in-demand director after he won an Emmy for directing an episode of the first season. This could mean that Ozark Season 4 is delayed, especially as Bateman is rumored to be making a remake of the movie Clue. He is also due to direct thriller Shut In, described by Deadline as "an edgy thriller in the vein of Panic Room." That was due to go into production at the start of 2020, but this too is likely to be delayed.
As for what fans can expect from Ozark Season 4, Mundy said he had been "building little things in, if we keep on track for the emotional ending we're guessing we'll have."
