As the countdown to Halloween begins, horror fans are being offered $2,400 to take part in a paranormal TV marathon.
A documentary streaming service is looking to pay one scream queen $100 an hour, if they can keep their eyes glued to the screen for 24 hours.
But fear not: MagellanTV, which is advertising the "dream job" for "scaredy-cats and ghost-lovers," has confirmed that the winning applicant will have 48 hours to complete the binge fest.
As well as the cash prize, the winner will receive a year's free subscription to MagellanTV, to continue their boxset love affair at their own pace.
The documentaries in the marathon cover many aspects of the supernatural, from witches and vampires to aliens and exorcisms—plus, of course, Halloween. The shows, which range in length from 45 minutes to two-and-a-half hours, are:
- Sight Seers, 66 minutes
- My Mum Talks to Aliens, 55 minutes
- Confessions of an Alien Abductee, 46 minutes
- Psychic Investigators, 78 minutes
- Celtic Monsters, 45 minutes
- The Other Side, 63 minutes
- Halloween: Feast of the Dying Sun, 51 minutes
- War on Witches, 47 minutes
- Vampire Skeletons, 45 minutes
- Weird or What with William Shatner, 152 minutes
- 5th Dimension, 147 minutes
- Boogeymen: Monsters Among Us, 135 minutes
- The Real Exorcist, 138 minutes
- Haunting Australia, 135 minutes
- Paranormal Egypt, 100 minutes
- Dead Famous, 138 minutes
As well as preparing snacks and cosying up on the couch, the chosen candidate will need to share their experience with other fear fans.
MagellanTV said the winner would be expected to "document their daunting journey all along the way so their followers can join the ride on social media."
The streamer added: "When it comes to sharing the experience via social media, we just want you to keep it real and tell us how your binge is going."
The company said it was looking for someone who's "not afraid of ghosts and [is] up for our spooky challenge." To apply, you'll need to tell the team what attracts you to paranormal content and which other types of documentary float your boat.
It added: "Tell us who you are, what social media platforms you're active on, and a little bit about why you love (or DON'T love) the supernatural. To really make yourself stand out, submit a video telling us why you're perfect for the job."
Applications are welcome from any U.S. residents over the age of 18 and close on October 11. The winner will be notified within 14 business days. To apply, click here.
