'Bye': Pantless Toddler Hilariously Tries to Storm Off but Doesn't Get Far

A kid's short-lived attempt at running away had his dad—and the internet—in stitches, after he got a few paces down the garden path before turning back.

Keoni Kapiko shared a video his three-year-old apparently trying to storm out, without any pants on. The footage, shared earlier this month, amassed a whopping 19 million views.

The tot says "bye" while opening the front door, as Kapiko jokingly returns the greeting, adding "have a good night," and "see you later," which his son repeats back at him.

The youngster says one final "bye" as he shuts the door and clambers down the porch stairs, and begins making his way over to the sidewalk.

Kapiko, filming the hilarious protest, can already be heard giggling in the background as his son turns back after taking a few steps.

He begins wailing and quickly returns to the house, as Kapiko, stifling a laugh while opening the door, says: "What happened. What happened, what's wrong?"

"I don't want to go," his son says through sobs. "Oh, you don't want to go," Kapiko replies with mock sincerity, as his laugh intensifies while his son's cries evolve into a full-blown scream.

The on-screen caption shared more about what prompted the tot's dramatic exit, saying: "Claims he is leaving cause he doesn't like me. Dude was shook when I didn't follow him."

While the caption said: "Bro acted like he really was about that life, seen the gas prices, and immediately turned back."

Numerous people found the clip hilarious, as Mike Rafrone pointed out: "He was so mad, he even left without pants on."

Bugaboo96 reckoned: "He hurt his own feelings lol." Kayla Kessler thought: "The pure joy of parenting was heard in that laugh at the end."

Jonah Tappan joked: "My boy did not last long on these streets." Dommy Long Dong admitted: "Sometimes I like to go pantless outside and cry as well."

Halle arndt sympathized, saying: "My reaction exactly when I left for college."

Angelica commented: "Winter coat, no pants. I'd scream too."

Dean added: "The laugh was so satisfying."

While Ryan said: "He must've thought about the price of gas, rent, food and utilities."

As pointed out in the video, the price of gas has soared to astronomical levels, with the AAA claiming the average price for a gallon on Thursday was $4.289 for regular unleaded gas. In comparison, the average a year ago was $2.879, the site noted.

The price is varying by states, with California seeing the highest prices at the pumps, with $5.785 per gallon, while Kansas had the lowest at only $3.796.

A happier child was also revealed by Newsweek a few weeks ago, when a video showcasing a baby's adorable reaction to tasting queso for the first time resurfaced on social media.

In the clip posted online by dobbyisafreepup, a boy with thick black hair can be seen being fed a plain tortilla chip coated in the popular cheese-based dip. Distracted by something off camera, the child is nevertheless happy to receive the snack.

The real magic comes as the queso hits his taste buds with the boy's eyes lighting up with delight at the unfamiliar flavor.
