A video of an airline passenger showing a more unusual way of spending time on a long flight has gone viral on TikTok, with more than 800,000 views.
The footage posted by TikToker AR (@aurora.raggi) was shared with a caption that read: "best movie I've ever seen #airplane #airplanemode."

Long-haul flights can be challenging to endure for several reasons, not least the sheer boredom of the journey, which can affect an individual's mental and physical health.
A 2017 survey of passengers commissioned by London's Gatwick Airport found that 15 percent of men and 6 percent of women were more likely to cry while watching a film on a flight than if they were to watch that movie elsewhere, such as a cinema or at home.
According to a September 2022 study published in the Journal of Space Safety Engineering, "psychological health is seriously impacted when humans are in isolated environments for long periods of time."

The clip begins with people shown watching movies on the built-in screens on the backs of the plane seats, as a message overlaid on the video reads: "What normal people do on a 11 hour flight."
The video then cuts to various shots of a digital map shown on the backseat screen, as a message overlaid on the video reads: "What I do for the whole 11 hour flight."
The clip shows a plane icon on the screen, seen at different points along the flight journey, which appeared to be running from Dublin, Ireland, to Los Angeles, California.
