Peacock has now launched on iOS, Android, and a number of smart TVs. However, the new NBCUniversal streaming service is currently not available on a number of best-selling devices, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Sony Playstation 4. Though an app is not coming to the former two any time soon, Peacock is coming to the latter very soon.
NBCUniversal content distribution chairman Matt Bond said in a statement: "As we bring Peacock to our fans wherever they consume media, device partners like PlayStation are invaluable in giving people even more places to watch the programming they've come to enjoy, we look forward to Peacock being at the forefront of the PlayStation experience."
The company also revealed exactly when Peacock would be coming to PS4. The app will roll out on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro beginning Monday, July 20.

As with Peacock on other devices, there will be a number of subscription tiers for PS4 users to choose from. A free tier with ads offers access to much of the streamer's library of TV shows and films, but not Peacock originals like Brave New World and Psych 2: Lassie Come Home and some other content. To access all of Peacock's content, users can pay for Peacock Premium, which is $4.99 a month (or $49.99 a year) with ads, or $9.99 a month ($99.99 a year) with mostly no ads–though per the company website some content will still have limited ads.
Peacock offers 20,000 hours of TV shows, films, news, and sport. The streaming service is a great choice for fans of classic TV, with a wide-ranging archive of shows including Battlestar Galactica, Cheers, Frasier, House, Law and Order, Parks and Recreation and the original Unsolved Mysteries among many others.
As for the movies available, the service offers classics like Back to the Future, Jaws, Jurassic Park and Do the Right Thing, as well as five Oscar Best Picture winners: A Beautiful Mind, American Beauty, Schindler's List, and The Godfather Parts I and II. The streamer also has an extensive Telemundo collection.
As for the originals available at launch on Peacock Premium, PS4 users will soon be able to enjoy Brave New World, an adaptation of the classic sci-fi novel starring Alden Ehrenreich, David Schwimmer comedy Intelligence, British thriller The Capture, docuseries In Deep with Ryan Lochte and Psych 2: Lassie Come Home, the second TV movie spin-off of the USA Network show, all episodes of which are also available to watch on the streamer.
