Pokemon Scarlet and Violet includes a ton of different items and resources for players to acquire. One of these resources, Bottle Caps, may not sound that unique and important, but they can actually drastically change how you train your Pokemon, especially if you're trying to unlock some of the best training available within the game.

But how exactly do you get your hands on Bottle Caps and how do you use them? Here's what you need to know.

How to Get Bottle Caps in 'Pokemon Scarlet and Violet'

Much like the ingredients needed to make shiny sandwich recipes, finding Bottle Caps in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can be done by simply exploring the world and taking on various encounters.

Particularly, you'll want to focus on four- and five-star Tera Raids if you want to build up your allotment of Bottle Caps exclusively through exploration and battle.

But, if you're a bit too lazy for that, or if you just want to speed the process up, you can always buy Bottle Caps at the Delibirds Presents after completing a few requirements. In order to gain access to Bottle Caps at this location, though, you'll need to beat six gyms in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Once you have completed those six gyms, you can return to the Delibird Presents and purchase Bottle Caps for 20,000 Pokedollars each. This might seem like an insane amount, but if you're smart with your money and League Points, you shouldn't have too much trouble getting a collection of them.

How to Use Bottle Caps in 'Pokemon Scarlet and Violet'

Using Bottle Caps is an entirely different ball game, though.

To use this special resource, you're going to need to make your way over to Montenevera and locate an NPC offering to put your Pokemon through Hyper Training.

Hyper Training allows you to train your Pokemon around a specific stat. This can be useful for min-maxing specific stats, which will help your Pokemon become stronger overall.

Once you've chosen a stat to Hyper Train, you'll pay the allotted amount of Bottle Caps required, and then the NPC will train the Pokemon up in that stat.

From there, you can continue training other Pokemon using this function, or head out and make use of the shiny picnic reset method to hunt down shiny Pokemon all around Paldea.
