This seemed to be confirmed by none other than Power executive producer Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, who uploaded and then deleted an image of him on the set of the spin-off with Rainey Jr., suggesting Tariq's college life will be seen on screen in the sequel.
Tasha St. Patrick
The last time we saw Tasha in the Power series finale, she was in prison, serving time for a crime she did not commit. This could be an end to her story, or Power Book II: Ghost could see her get the justice she deserves and get out of jail in time to become a rival for Monet (Mary J. Blige), whose drug empire will be at the heart of the sequel.
Rashad Tate
Though Tate will be the focus of his own Power spin-off, Book IV: Influence, his gubernatorial race is likely to be happening in the background of the sequel, the timeline of which starts a fortnight after the events of Power Season 6, Episode 15. It is likely that the slippery political powerhouse will be seen doing a number of shady deals with the criminal cast of the new spin-off.
Cooper Saxe
After the back half of Power Season 6 showed Saxe (Shane Johnson) out of a job and driven to rock bottom, by the end of the finale he had managed to land on his feet, getting his old job as the district attorney back after having his revenge on Jacob Warner (Evan Handler).
With Saxe back in power and his obsession with Ghost dead, he will have plenty of time to launch a new investigation into Monet's line of business.
Brayden
Another cast member seemingly confirmed by 50 Cent was Gianni Paolo, who appeared in a set photo shared by the rapper, suggesting he is returning as Tariq's school friend Brayden as Tariq heads to college per the conditions of Ghost's will.
Effie
A character who was briefly introduced in Power Season 6 who fans want to see more of is Tariq's school friend and potential love interest Effie (Alix Lapri). As Power Book II: Ghost looks set to explore campus life for Riq, the character could be getting a bigger role in the upcoming season.
Kanan Stark
Though Kanan died in Power Season 5 (and is the subject of his own prequel, Power Book III: Raising Kanan), the character made a surprise return as the conscience of Tariq as he thought about killing his father. This could set up more appearances from the character from beyond the grave as Tariq grapples with some of the big decisions of his life as he goes deeper into the criminal underworld.
