Prince Harry's reaction after Meghan Markle pulled him to one side with a secret message went viral on TikTok.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex dazzled on the red carpet for the premiere of Bob Marley biopic One Love at the Carib Theatre, in Kingston, Jamaica, on January 23.
And they caught attention as they exchanged some warm words with Brian Robbins, head of Paramount and Nickelodeon, as well as Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
At one stage during the event, video appears to show Harry laughing with a guest before Meghan turns to whisper something in his ear. The prince reacts by staring down for a period of time.
The moment appears to have sparked debate online after a clip posted to TikTok was viewed more than 827,000 times and liked 5,430 times.
It was posted with the onscreen caption: "Meghan whispers in Harry's ear and his smile disappears... was he told off again."
There is nothing to indicate what Meghan said to Harry, and any reading of emotion into body language is always a fraught exercise.
Some fans who saw the video did not agree with the original poster's interpretation.
One wrote, "So you all can hear what she said?" while another said: "Beautiful couple and very much in love."
Another added: "Just love that these two are living their life their way."
Others echoed the message in the video with one saying: "I feel so bad for Harry. Is sad."
Overall, the event gave Harry and Meghan an opportunity to show themselves looking successful, getting a warm reception in a country that gave Prince William and Kate Middleton a difficult run in March 2022.
The Prince and Princess of Wales went to the Caribbean to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee but were met with protests and were ultimately told by Holness in front of the TV cameras that he intended to break with monarchy.
By contrast, not only were Harry and Meghan seen warmly interacting with Holness but Harry also embraced Ziggy Marley, Bob Marley's son. Some on social media contrasted their interaction with William and Kate posing next to a cardboard cut-out of Bob Marley in 2022.
