Prince William went to sweep Kate Middleton off her feet in excitement as they watched the Olympics 11 years ago in a viral TikTok video.
The Prince and Princess of Wales were one year into their marriage when they saw Great Britain's cycling team win gold and set a world record in the Men's Team Sprint Track final at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
William's joy at seeing his country come out on top seemed to get the better of him as he wrapped his arms around Kate at the Velodrome in London on August 2, 2012.
The moment it resurfaced on TikTok, where it went viral after being viewed 1.3 million times and liked 38,400 times as of Wednesday afternoon.
The video was posted with the onscreen caption: "Prince William goes to sweep Kate off her feet in excitement until he spotted they were on the big screen."
"Beautiful future Queen and King," one fan replied on TikTok, while another wrote: "Great role models, lovely couple and family! These cute moments are adorable."
While it is not visible in the TikTok video, the couple was with Prince Harry and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, in the Velodrome. Earlier that day, they watched Andy Murray compete in tennis.
Olympic fever took Britain by storm in 2012 as London hosted the games, and the royals played a big part in the tournament.
Even Queen Elizabeth II got involved, recording a now famous comedy skit with Daniel Craig, who was in character as James Bond. Craig was seen arriving for a meeting with Elizabeth, walking past her corgis, only to be kept waiting while she completed some paperwork.
The monarch greeted him with "Good evening, Mr. Bond," before the pair seemingly climbed into a helicopter together. A stunt double dressed as the queen then parachuted out of a helicopter and into the Olympic stadium during the opening ceremony, provoking gasps from the crowd.
The live commentator then said: "Never can Her Majesty have been introduced to her public in a manner like that. And the crowd have loved it."
