Princess Charlotte's journey from being a fledgling royal to being "so sensible and mature for her age" has gone viral on TikTok.
The young royal turns 9 in May and has become known for marshalling both her older and younger brother at royal engagements.
However, once upon a time Charlotte was herself still learning the ropes and a fan compiled some of her early royal moments in a TikTok video that went viral after it was viewed 174,000 times and liked 6,000 times.
The edit was posted with the on-screen caption: "Charlotte before understanding protocol." It began with a clip of Prince George and Princess Charlotte at their mom and dad's sailing competition, the King's Cup Regatta on August 8, 2019.
Prince William and Kate Middleton hosted the event to raise awareness for eight of the organizations they have partnered with and Charlotte could be seen having some fun with her brother.
The next clip shows the princess at Sandringham on Christmas Day in 2019 and then on the Buckingham Palace balcony with Prince George and Kate for Trooping the Colour in June that same year.
Another clip shows her falling over on the runway of Hamburg Airport shortly before catching a plane home from a royal tour of Germany and Poland with William and Kate on July 21, 2017.
In some moments, Kate needed to put a gentle hand on Charlotte's back, but by the more recent sequences in the second half of the video, the princess is shaking hands with dignitaries like a pro.
One showed Charlotte at the Princess of Wales' Together at Christmas carol service, at Westminster Abbey, on December 8, 2023.
Another clip showed her curtsying at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral on September 19, 2022.
One fan commented on the post: "She's so sensible and mature for her age...when I was 8 I was crying if my Barbie couldn't walk on its own."
Another wrote: "Omg bro an 8 yr old is so cute and she has so much manners...i wish i was like her tbh."
