A conspiracy theory which claims the late Princess Diana was reincarnated as BTS star Jungkook has blown up online.
One TikTok user carefully dug up some similarities between the famous pair and pointed out the fact the K-pop singer was born one day after Diana's tragic death.
The video, which has had 5.4 million views on TikTok alone, opens with shots of the pair's Wikipedia pages, with the date Diana died, August 31, 1997, and Jungkook's birthday, September 1, 1997, circled in red. The video can be viewed here.

Other comparisons included a similar scar on their left cheekbones, and the user also noting Jungkook and Diana share the same iconic and coy smile.
The TikToker also underlined a story about Diana saying she dreamed of being a dancer when she was younger and then underlined one of Jungkook's roles in BTS on the "dancer line."
K-pop groups tend to have official positions including leader, vocalists, rappers and dancers. Each of these then includes sub-categories based on the individual's responsibility.
Jungkook also serves as BTS' "maknae," meaning he is the youngest and cutest one in the group and serves as the "face" of the group. Princess Diana's popularity and good looks were widely believed to have "revived the monarchy" during her marriage to Prince Charles, according to experts.
Other comparisons in the TikTok video included an image of Jungkook's tattoo on his right index finger of a crown, and images of Diana in a range of tiaras.
The TikToker also showed the pair wearing similar clothes from a houndstooth coat to the princess in her infamous "revenge dress" that she wore the evening a television interview with Prince Charles was airing in which he admitted he had been unfaithful during the course of their marriage. The video showed Jungkook in a flattering black outfit to help prove their case.
The 30-second video then ended on an image of Princess Diana falling asleep at a royal engagement in 1981 and a photo of Jungkook asleep on a train. It showed the fact their angles tilted the same direction when they slept as proof of their theory.
Reincarnation or transmigration is a Buddhist belief that the soul of a living being can start a new life in another physical being after death.
Many of the thousands of people who commented on the video were aware it was not meant to be taken seriously, but some people were angry at its suggestion.
"This is the funniest conspiracy theory ever! I love it," commented one TikTok user.
Another suggested: "Take a day off."
And a third wrote: "I was skeptical at the start but it just kept going."
While the TikTok was posted in August, it gained more views after going viral on Twitter this month.
The bizarre theory comes just weeks after some fans speculated nonbinary YouTuber Trisha Paytas' baby would be born as the reincarnated Queen Elizabeth II.
The queen passed away just as Paytas went into labor, giving birth to her daughter in September.
The viral trend began when RuPaul's Drag Race alum Jasmine Kennedie tweeted: "How much y'all wanna bet Trisha Paytas is going to say her child is the reincarnation of queen?"
It quickly snowballed into thousands of retweets, with internet users running with the bizarre conspiracy theory, and one person even joking on a video of someone flying that it was "the soul of Queen Elizabeth flying across the globe to Trisha Paytas' baby."
Paytas, 34, who is also an OnlyFans model and singer, disappointed some fans when she named her newborn Malibu Barbie, rather than Queen Elizabeth.
