Project Power is the latest Netflix movie to hit the top of the streaming charts. The film revolves around "Power," a pill that gives whoever takes it superpowers for five minutes—but they do not know what powers they will get until they take it. These powers can be very useful, like invisibility or super strength, or they can be very dangerous, as the woman who froze to death in the movie found out.

If the powers in the first movie whetted your appetite for more abilities, you might be in luck, as the directors have hinted they thought up a lot of powers that did not appear in the film.

Though Netflix has not confirmed whether or not there will be a Project Power 2, directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost have been hinting at what could feature if there is a sequel.

Speaking to Yahoo, Joost teased: "We have a massive list of powers, and their corresponding animals."

Schulman added that they limited the number of powers that appeared in the first film in order to develop the characters. He said: "There's a version of this movie that has, like, twice as many powers. But we pared it back because, every time you pull a power out or shorten an action scene, it allows more room for the dramatic scenes."

'Project Power' on Netflix features abilities like bulletproof skin, but the sequel could introduce many more powers Netflix

The pair, however, were giving nothing away about the potential of a sequel. Schulman said: "Well if you start a Reddit chat thread, maybe you can get the demand going. But I don't think we would ever presume that something should have a sequel until the fans ask for it."

So far, none of Netflix's action movies have been given a sequel, but a number of follow-ups are believed to be in the works. Among the films coming soon to the streamer are Bright 2, Extraction 2 and Bird Box 2, while there have been some hints that recent Charlize Theron film The Old Guard could become a trilogy.

Whether Project Power can follow them will depend on how long it can stay at the top of the streamer's charts–after all, those action sequels are to some of Netflix's biggest movies, with Extraction and Bird Box the most-watched films ever on the streamer according to data released in July.

If there is a sequel, it is likely to continue exploring the central metaphor of Project Power, which compares its "Power" pill to illegal drugs. As the move's writer Mattson Tomlin explained to Forbes: "There is a bit of metaphor in there as well, of sometimes you have a good high, sometimes you have a bad high."

Project Power is streaming now on Netflix.
