Taylor Swift has been accused of some strange things during her career, such as sneaking around in a popcorn stand and destroying the lives of famous ex-boyfriends. Now, the pop star can add witchcraft to that list.
In an Instagram post shared on October 19, the 33-year-old thanked fans for turning out in droves to see her Eras tour movie.
"What a truly mind blowing thing you've turned The Eras Tour Concert Film into," Swift wrote.
"I've been watching videos of you guys in the theaters dancing and prancing and recreating choreography, creating inside jokes, casting spells, getting engaged, and just generally creating the exact type of joyful chaos we're known for," Swift added.
However, a former fan took issue with the caption, taking to X—the social network formerly known as Twitter—to voice her dissent.
Did you really just praise your fans for making videos with your music and “casting spells” @taylorswift13? What is wrong with you?

I was a fan from day one and loved how much you grew in your singing ability. I love that you write your own music. My daughter has grown up…
"Did you really just praise your fans for making videos with your music and 'casting spells' @taylorswift13?" said Kandiss Taylor.
"What is wrong with you? I have heard from others that attended this last tour that you had some satanic nods in your show. I didn't want to believe it."
Describing herself as a "fan from day one," Taylor accused the singer of celebrating witchcraft.
"I know you've claimed to love Jesus. I know you claimed to be a Christian," Taylor added. "Now, you've not only drifted and backslid.
"You're influencing innocent minds to be enticed with the dark side of spirituality.
I am so beyond disappointed."

Taylor—a former Republican Georgia governor candidate who describes herself as a "Christian" and "Host of Jesus" in her bio—told Swift that God was responsible for her success.
"You have been gifted a HUGE platform," Taylor said. "It didn't just happen. God breathed on this.
"He can remove His hand and leave you to the witchcraft and your own devices. Let's see how much Lucifer cares about you or your career. I promise. He doesn't," Taylor added.
Newsweek has reached out to Taylor Swift and Kandiss Taylor for comment via email.
Since being shared on October 19, Taylor's post has received over 88,000 views. The message to Swift divided X users, with Lesley telling Taylor to "Get lost."
"What century are you from?" asked Andrew.
"@taylorswift13 has done more for women, young girls and actually all people equally than just about anyone," the poster commented. "I really don't want to amplify you because obviously that's all you're looking for but get a grip."
"I'm sure she's really worried about what you think," wrote Michael Novick.
"Taylor Swift got thousands of her fans to register to vote & I can guarantee you none of them will be voting Republican," wrote @taradublinrocks.
"Keep your religion to yourself," commented @tdavegas, while Lavonne posted: "It's not Taylor's responsibility to lead or keep your child on the path of Christianity. Do better."
However, other users agreed with Taylor, with @CarrieA54610868 commenting: "You are not alone."
"Thank you for exposing the truth," wrote Chill Ville. "knew she seemed to have changed. Or maybe she is showing her true self."
Taylor isn't the only conservative to rally against Democratic voter Swift recently. After the Grammy-winner encouraged her Instagram followers to register to vote on September 19—leading to a surge of 35,000 registrations on Vote.org—Republicans took to social media to slam the star.
While on September 28, Christian commentator Morgan Ariel said the singer and her rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce should be "publicly prosecuted and hung" for promoting vaccines, after the Kansas City Chiefs football player appeared in an ad for Pfizer.
