A resurfaced viral video showed the moment that a Tesla managed to stop just before a car sped through an intersection and crashed into a truck.

The clip, which appeared to have first been posted in 2018, was re-shared by Reddit user u/Tugushin to the forum "Damn That's Interesting" where it received more than 90,000 votes.

"Tesla Model 3 stops itself to avoid potentially disastrous accident," the title of the post stated, though Newsweek was unable to independently verify whether the car was able to automatically stop or if it was the driver's doing.

According to Tesla's website, the autopilot feature comes with new Teslas, and there are two packages available, depending on when the car was built—Autopilot and Full Self-Driving Capability.

"Autopilot and Full Self-Driving Capability are intended for use with a fully attentive driver, who has their hands on the wheel and is prepared to take over at any moment," the website stated. "While these features are designed to become more capable over time, the currently enabled features do not make the vehicle autonomous."

Included in these different features are traffic-aware cruise control, autopark and auto lane change.

The video, which appeared to be filmed on a dashboard camera of a car right behind the Tesla, begins just as the traffic light turned green.

The Tesla is seen slowly moving forward but within moments, it stopped.

Another car drove through the intersection and collided with the white truck that was just next to the Tesla, causing it to roll onto its side.

"The amount of dumba** drivers in this world is insane," a Reddit user commented.

Another viewer agreed with the sentiment.

"I've seen so many drivers see a light flip red, and they continue to speed through the light like it was a green," they wrote.

Some commenters suggested that it may be time for people to use automated vehicles.

"Every vehicle will behave in a predictable and communicated way," one comment read. "Road rules won't be broken, accidents will be greatly reduced, and traffic efficiency will be maximized."

This driver managed to avoid a wreck, but not all are so lucky.

A viral Reddit post featured photos that show a man's car after a tree branch crashed through the windshield.

Newsweek previously reported that the man said there was a snowstorm, which resulted in downed trees and branches. No one was in the man's car when the branch hit his windshield.

Another accident was caught on camera and shared on Reddit. A car is seen driving in reverse but does not stop before crashing into the side of a parked car.

One viral video showed an accident that was the result of a driver who reportedly lost control of her car. She crossed seven lanes of traffic before driving into a business.
