A clip of Roseanne Barr delivering a bizarre speech, during which she predicated that she would be placed "in a gulag" should Donald Trump fail in his bid for reelection at next year's presidential election, has gone viral.
In recent years, comedian Barr has become a fervent public support of former President Trump and his MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement.
She reiterated that support over the weekend when she made an appearance at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest, a four-day event taking place until December 20 in Phoenix, Arizona, that the group has billed as "the largest celebration of our constitutional rights and freedoms."
In clips shared on X, formerly Twitter, Barr said: "I'm all in for President Trump. I just wanna say that, I'm just all in... Because I know if I ain't all in they're going to put my a** in a gulag. If he loses I know what they're gonna do."

"And I don't wanna go to a reeducation camp and have to give all my money to a bunch of losers that never know how [to] get a job. I don't care about them," she went on. "If we don't stop these horrible communist, do you hear me? I'm asking you to hear me.
"Stalinist! Communists! With a huge helping of Nazi fascist thrown in, plus wanting the caliphate to replace every Christian democracy on Earth. Now. Occupy. Do you know that?"
While the earlier part of the speech attracted raucous cheers, the venue appeared to fall notably more quiet as Barr's speech went on.
Footage of part of the speech was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Ron Filipkowski, editor-in-chief of media outlet MeidasTouch. As of press time, the clip has been viewed more than 2 million times.

The clip sparked a wave of derision from a number of X users, one of whom said: "What we're witnessing here is what history has taught us would be predictable and inevitable: it's the end of the MAGA polka. What a tragic display of stranded MAGA dancers looking for an accordion player."
"The power of free speech is that it permits idiots and flat-earthers to identify themselves," one detractor commented, while another pointed out "the way absolutely no one in that room knew what 'caliphate' means."
"Poor Roseanne... she coulda retired and kept her mouth shut, lived like a queen on her royalties and kept the legacy of her career intact," wrote another. "But she had to embrace Trump and everything Trump touches..."
"We know she's always been difficult but for me, watching her in the 90s....she was a huge feminist inspiration," said another. "Now she's a sad, angry woman filled with hate and she believes the propaganda. It's like watching my feminist mom turn MAGA. It makes me so sad."
Another described Barr as "going from being the #1 show on television to being Donald Trump's opening act."
Amid the criticisms, a host of other X users weighed in with support for Barr, with one stating that the TV personality is "100 percent correct!"
"She tells it like it is, gotta love that," said one fan, while another wrote: "We love this from Roseanne!!"
Elsewhere in her speech, Barr said that she wants "the truth," before slamming both the Republican and Democratic parties, accusing them of "stealing us blind."

"We deserve to hear the truth. That's what we want. We want the truth," she told the crowd. "We don't care which party is wrong, we know they're both nothing but c***. They're both on the take. They're both stealing us blind.
"We just want the truth about everything that we fought and died and suffered to protect. We want the truth. Because we deserve it, and we deserve to have an election with paper ballots, and with proper identification to prove that you are a citizen of this country and that the public's money shall heretofore belong to the public."
Earlier this year, Barr returned to the spotlight with her stand-up special Roseanne Barr: Cancel This!. Barr said that she was essentially banished from Hollywood in May 2018, after she tweeted that the "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby," referring to Valerie Jarrett, a former senior adviser to former President Barack Obama, who is Black.
Barr said at the time that she wouldn't have tweeted the joke had she known Jarrett was Black, and that she would have apologized on air, but ABC decided to fire her from her show, Roseanne, before she could do so. The network brought the show back as The Connors, with the comedian's lead character killed off.
TV personality Barr had been a staunch progressive earlier in her career, once protesting at an Occupy Wall Street rally and running for president first for the Green Party and later the Peace and Freedom party. In 2016, she voted for Trump.
When asked this month by Newsweek why, in the face of mounting scrutiny and backlash, Barr continues to publicly share her political takes, the comedian responded: "It's important for me to keep speaking because I can't let the f****** win. That's why."
