Russian President Vladimir Putin has been accused of war crimes through the actions his military has taken in its invasion of Ukraine.
"It is obvious to us that in Ukraine, Russians are committing war crimes, "Polish President Andrzej Duda said last week.
Following an air strike on a hospital in the city of Mariupol, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris also called for an investigation into whether Russia is committing war crimes.
"I have no question the eyes of the world are on this war and what Russia has done in terms of this aggression and these atrocities," she said.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has already opened an investigation into allegations of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide committed in Ukraine after receiving referrals from nearly 40 countries.
The United Nations Human Rights Council also launched an independent international commission to investigate all alleged violations of human rights in the context of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly insisted that world leaders need to stand against Russian aggression. As well as calls for condemnation from leaders, Zelensky has called on companies to stop operating in Russia.
"Now can be no 'half' decisions or 'halftones' There is only black and white, good or evil", he wrote on Twitter on Sunday.
"You are either for peace or support the bloody Russian aggressor to kill Ukrainian children and women.
"Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, stop supporting your products in Russia, stop the war."
Zelensky also called on the release of the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, who was kidnapped by Russian soldiers last week.
"Continued dialogue with [Israel's] PM Naftali Bennett. We talked about Russian aggression and the prospects for peace talks," Zelensky wrote in a tweet on Saturday.
"We must stop repressions against civilians: asked to assist in the release of captive mayor of Melitopol and local public figures #StopRussia."
