Hearts are melting online thanks to a video clip of LoLou, an 8-year-old pug from the Netherlands, watching TV on her doggy bed and snuggling on to a favorite toy.

The video, shared on TikTok by the dog's owner, under the username pugloulou, shows LouLou watching her favorite pug cartoons on her owner's iPad, sitting on her flamingo-shaped bed, snuggling to her lookalike plushie doll, dressed in her finest pink pajamas with unicorns.

The clip, which has been viewed over 1 million times and liked over 123,700 since Sunday, was captioned: "Just lemme watch cartoons all day.

But can dogs actually see what's on the screen? The answer is yes! Not only they can tell what's on TV, but they can also tell if there is another dog in the program.

Research shows that dogs are able to visually recognize other dogs. According to a study published in Science Daily in 2013, nine dogs were able to distinguish other dogs, regardless of breed, among pictures of other species by using visual cues alone.

However, dogs don't see what's on TV in the same way we do. They have dichromatic vision, which means they only see a range of two primary colors, yellow and blue.

The way your dog reacts to TV, whether it's running around, barking excitedly, or just ignoring it, comes down to the dog's own personality or breed.

Most users loved LouLou and her sassiness. One user, Myrtice589French commented: "oh my goodness." And Air up said: "she is doing her job by being so cute."

Lindsay commented: "I love how she is sitting and snuggling with 'herself' as she watches cartoons!!" And sama_rblxedits added: "And they become so sassy sometimes."

Another user, Ruby said: "He/She is allowed in my house any day." Milers wrote: "My puppy literally loves cartoons [so much]."

Another user, Paulamommy2022 said: "This is so awesome the baby is watching tv cool now all he needs is his snacks." And Skyla Donnelly783 wrote: "aw he's so cute he gotta get away with it all."

Janice Masiero-Hartley wrote: "Oh my gosh so precious and sweet and so cute." And fieldagent2 - Paulene said: "This can't be real. this doggie got the best life!"
