After four long months, Saturday Night Live is finally returning with the Season 45 premiere on Saturday.
There have been a few changes to the show since fans last saw it during the Paul Rudd-hosted Season 45 season finale in May.
For starters, Leslie Jones, who appeared on SNL for five seasons, will no longer be on the show. While her departure is a huge bummer for fans, they'll be happy to note that in her absence two new featured players are joining the cast, Chloe Fineman and Bowen Young.
Another change to get excited about? Chris Redd and Heidi Gardner, who burst onto the SNL scene in 2017, have been bumped up to regular cast member status, which means they're names will be featured in the opening credits of the show with Kenan Thompson, Kate McKinnon and all the rest of the longtime regulatory players.

Now that we've gotten all that out of the way, on to the most important things to note about the upcoming premiere episode. Read on below for more info.
Who's hosting?
No Studio 8H tour like a @WoodyHarrelson Studio 8H tour.

It's been nearly five years, but Woody Harrelson is finally making his way back to the famous Studio 8H, where SNL is filmed inside of New York City's iconic Rockefeller Center. The premiere marks his fourth time hosting SNL. He appeared on the show in 1989, 1992 and 2014 beforehand, so he knows his way around the place, as he says in the Season 45 premiere promo video, released by NBC on Wednesday.
One can never know what to expect on any given episode of SNL—showrunners have been notoriously tight-lipped with details, as always—but fans should expect Harrelson to deliver the laughs as host, particularly during his opening monologue. His 1989 appearance was so good, he repurposed lyrics to a Taylor Swift song and sang about that same 1989 monologue during his show opening in 2014.
He's also appeared in a few classic SNL skits that have remained widely popular like his "Take Your Shirt Off" sketch with former SNL members Chris Farley and Kevin Nealon and "Football Halftime Speech" with Kenan Thompson.
Who's performing?
While a veteran host will be holding the reigns during the premiere, a newbie will hit the stage for the season opener. Los Angeles singer and songwriter Billie Eilish is set to perform on SNL.
More than likely, the chart-topping singer will belt out songs from her double platinum-selling album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, which released in March.
When does SNL air?
SNL will return with the Season 45 premiere on NBC on Saturday at 11:30 p.m ET.
Can SNL be live-streamed?
If you don't have access to television, SNL can be streamed from any smart device on NBC's website or app—although a cable provider login is needed for streaming. Those with Hulu Live TV subscriptions will be able to catch SNL in real-time there, while the show will be available on demand later for general Hulu subscribers.
