The school run can be a stressful situation, but one family have come up with a novel way of making it fun, while skipping the mile-long queues.
In the video posted by @melissabeeler2 two days ago, Melissa Beeler says: "My husband came up with this genius idea to drop our daughter off to school in a golf cart to try and avoid the drop-off line and this is how it went." Melissa's husband, Ryan, can be seen driving the buggy, cutting the queue and driving on the sidewalk.
@melissabeeler2 Replying to @roberttoney4193 Well, he did it and made history. It was the first official golf cart drop off in the history of the school! Now he wants to know if he should do it again?! ? #marriedlife #couples #family #dadlifebelike #marriage #dadlife #schooldropoff

Shortly afterwards, when Ryan has returned home, Melissa says to him, "there's already a post about it on the Facebook page...They're already talking about it, who is this guy, who does he think he is cutting the line." Ryan can be seen laughing at the information, and the TikTok clip now has more than 2.2 million views.
"Well, he did it and made history. It was the first official golf cart drop off in the history of the school! Now he wants to know if he should do it again?!" reads the caption.
The AA, a British motoring association, says that "56 percent of parents we interviewed reported traffic chaos near their child's school at dropping off and picking up times. And 91 percent of these parents claim there isn't an effective school traffic management plan in place nearby."
The AA adds that, if your daily school run is a nightmare, you could try changing where you park. "You may be able to find a parking space a little way away from the school. It's worth checking out local Facebook groups to see if anyone has a spare driveway they would let you use for a few minutes every day when you walk your kids to and from school.
"Don't forget that traffic chaos is often the result of inconsiderate parking and waiting. Always obey parking and waiting restrictions; don't block driveways or double park, even for a few minutes; and switch off your engine while you're waiting for your child," the AA says.

Users on TikTok loved the video. "I was literally cracking up the other morning watching him happily drive up the sidewalk. Genius!!!" wrote one.
"It's awesome. Let the Dads be dads. Prime Dad legend material here," posted another user.
"Everyone does that here in texas where I live and I think it's awesome," shared a third.
