Scott Hall, the 63-year-old former wrestler known for fighting in the WWF (now WWE) as Razor Ramon, has been hospitalized following an injury.
The news was broken via wrestling promoter (and father of wrestler Jeff Jarrett) Jerry Jarrett, who wrote on his Facebook that he had spoken to his friend in the hospital.
This injury comes in the lead-up to WrestleMania in Dallas, Texas, during which time Hall was expected to participate in a number of events.
What Happened to Scott Hall?

Per Jarrett's Facebook on Monday, February 28: "Just got off the phone with my friend Scott Hall. He fell and broke his hip and he's in the hospital. Prayers will help him recover."
This injury comes nearly a decade after Hall had to have a hip replaced. In 2013, he underwent hip replacement surgery, which wrestling fans (and WWE hall of famer Diamond Dallas Page) helped him raise $100,000 for.
The Indiegogo page set up by Page to fundraise for this surgery makes clear the impact that a life of wrestling has had on Hall's body: "At the young age of 54, Scott has had a pacemaker, and difibrillator [sic] implanted for his heart, and he can barely walk due to extreme arthritis in his hip. Unless he gets a hip replacement, he will be unable to do the necessary exercise in order to get his health back," it reads.
During WrestleMania 38, Hall was scheduled to appear at the WrestleCon convention in Dallas. So far, the convention has not announced whether the wrestler is set to appear following his injury.
The wrestler is one of the few to have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. Once in 2014 as a solo performer and once as part of WCW's New World Order (nWo) group, which helped WCW beat WWF in the ratings for over 80 weeks in the late 1990s.
His career achievements were marred, however, by Hall's widely reported addiction to drugs and alcohol. Per Page's Indiegogo page, the wrestler had been to rehab 11 times by 2013. At least some of this rehab was funded by the WWE itself. WWE chief brand officer Stephanie McMahon said of this in an ESPN documentary about the wrestler: "It's the most amount of money we've spent on anyone, I just want Scott to get help and to decide for himself that he needs help. It makes me sad. I don't want anybody to pass away prematurely or otherwise really."
In 2014, Hall gave an interview to HoustonWrestlingRadio.com where he discussed his hip problems. He said: "I had a hip surgery. I was in a wheelchair and I had given up. I was in all this pain. I was drinking and taking pills to medicate myself. I had no idea that the hip surgery was for real and that it would change my life the way it did. I'm not in pain! So I don't feel the need to be medicated. It's just amazing that all these things could happen in a year."
