Sister Wives fans have rushed to defend Christine Brown after she was seen having an intense discussion with former partner Kody about their split on the premiere episode of the show's Season 17.
The reality series, which began on TLC in 2010, follows the Brown family patriarch and his wives in their plural marriage.
Kody is currently in relationships with wives Meri and Janelle Brown, who are his spiritual wives, and Robyn, who is his legal wife.
A fourth women who was previously in the marriage, Christine, has confirmed she has split from him.

In scenes that aired on TLC on Sunday, September 11, Christine and Kody were seen discussing the state of their relationship and Christine revealed that she was leaving her husband and moving back to Utah from Flagstaff, Arizona, where the rest of the family currently reside.
"I need to move back to Utah where I'm surrounded with people that want to spend time with me," she told Kody, who she shares daughters Aspyn, Mykelti, Gwendlyn, Ysabel and Truely, and son Paedon with.
Kody then responded: "We have children together, Christine. I have to be in their lives. Alright, we're not lovers anymore, but our family is still a family. How do we do that?"
Kody then revealed his worries over growing apart from Truely, who is only 11. "You don't break up the family with what you're trying to do," he said.
It was his further comments, however, that angered fans, as he revealed to Christine that he was fearful that she would meet another partner and that this new boyfriend would want access to his money.

"This is what I'm afraid of. You take Truely and you go to Utah. The most polygamy-unfriendly state in the union. You get a boyfriend who wants some of our money. And between you, your boyfriend, and the state of Utah, I lose any access to Truely and all my money," Kody told Christine.
"I've seen it happen to many, many people," he added.
Christine, who seemed confused by Kody's comments, asked: "So that's your biggest fear?"
"Utah. A greedy boyfriend. A user. A greedy new husband," Kody confirmed.
Taking to Twitter after the scenes aired, one fan wrote: "Kody is worried about Christine finding a boyfiend that will want HIS money and his things and he will be greedy and he makes Chritine [promise] that wont happen. But isn't the money going to he divided once she divorces him? #SisterWives."

"Kody saying you'll get a greedy boyfriend and he'll take all my money shows how he truly sees Christine. He thinks no man will love her. #SisterWives," added a third.

Christine confirmed in November 2021 that her marriage to Kody is over by posting a statement on her Instagram page that read: "After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave.
"We will continue to be a strong presence in each other's lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family."
Kody then released his own statement, saying: "Christine's decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness.
"We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her. Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents."
Season 16 of Sister Wives had showed the strain that the COVID-19 pandemic was having on Christine and Kody's relationship so fans were not wholly surprised by the break down of their marriage.
Christine had also revealed on the show that Kody no longer wanted an "intimate relationship" with her.
Ahead of Season 17 of Sister Wives, Christine also opened up about Kody not traveling with their daughter Ysabel when she had to undergo surgery, and how this contributed to the end of their marriage.
In August, the star told People magazine that Ysabel, now 19, had to travel to New Jersey in September 2020 to have corrective surgery for her scoliosis but Kody did not travel with them as he did not want to travel during the pandemic.
Sister Wives Season 17 continues Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
