In November 2018, six months after marrying Prince Harry and one month after returning from her first official overseas royal tour, Meghan and her new husband attended the annual Royal Variety Performance in London.
For the occasion, celebrating entertainment industry talent, Meghan wore a monochrome evening gown featuring a floor-length black skirt and black and white sequin embellished bodice accentuated by a halter-neck strap.
The dress was designed by London based brand Safiyaa, and Meghan styled the look with her classic up-do hairstyle with trailing fringe and simple black and gold accessories.
Cirque du Soleil, 2019
Another sequin fashion moment was deployed by Meghan for a visit to London's Royal Albert Hall with Prince Harry while pregnant with Prince Archie, where the couple watched the opening night of the Cirque du Soleil show "TOTEM."
For the event, the duchess wore a midnight blue evening gown with bracelet length sleeves and scoop neckline created by one of her favorite designers, Roland Mouret.

Perhaps Kate's most famous sequin fashion moment to date took place in 2021, where the princess, alongside Prince William, King Charles and Queen Camilla, attended the London premiere of the James Bond movie, No Time To Die.
On the evening, Kate walked the red carpet in a showstopping gold sequin caped gown designed by Jenny Packham, with layered organza embellished with sequins in a star-burst pattern across the bodice.

Meghan's most recent sequin fashion moment was made in September 2023, where she attended a performance of Beyoncé's Renaissance tour in Los Angeles.
For the event, the singer had requested her audience wear accents of silver in honor of "Virgo season." Obeying the dress code, Meghan paired her classic black halter-neck blouse on the evening with a sparkling silver sequin pencil skirt.

Kate's most recent sequin fashion moment was made at the annual Buckingham Palace diplomatic reception hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla in December.
For the occasion, celebrity stylist and royal fashion expert Miranda Holder previously told Newsweek that the princess "sparkled even more than usual in her sequin dress with lavish crystal embellishments," designed by Jenny Packham and accompanied with "her favorite Lover's Knot tiara adorned with tear drop-shaped pearls providing even more drama and height to an already striking ensemble."
