What an incredibly long and exhausting week it's been. You can thank the 2020 election for that. But, finally, we've made it to the end. Let's all let out a collective sigh of relief.
Granted there's still a ways to go before Americans can simply settle into the results, with President Donald Trump's pending lawsuits against states, claims of fraudulent votes, demands for recounts and all. But for now, it's done. It's Saturday. We can take our eyes off the news and, perhaps, get in a few laughs. There will be plenty for the taking when Saturday Night Live airs this weekend.
The host this week is one of the most celebrated comedians of the century. And while SNL is always tight-lipped about material expected to air on the hour-long comedy show, considering this guy's track record for roasting politicians and the moral ineptitude of the overall American society, it's not too far-fetched to think that there will be some political shots fired during his opening monologue.
Read on for everything you need to know about the upcoming sixth episode of SNL Season 46 below.

Who is hosting?
Dave Chappelle is back for the second time as SNL host. He was last on the show just days after Trump was named president after 2016. At the time, Chappelle wished Trump good luck in his 11-minute opening monologue and said he was going to give the real estate mogul a chance. He suggested that "we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too."
Chappelle won his first Emmy Award for his debut SNL stint—for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series—but despite how well-received of a moment it was for him, he still ended up apologizing for his words on Trump six months after his appearance.
"I was the first guy on TV to say 'Give Trump a chance,'" he said at the 2017 Robin Hood Gala in New York. "I f**ked up. Sorry."
Who is performing?
Can you believe it has been 25 years since the Foo Fighters made their first appearance on SNL? On the upcoming episode, Dave Grohl and the rest of the band will perform for the eighth time.
Their performance comes on the heels of their 10th studio album. They teases a snippet of the new project on Twitter on Thursday with the caption #LPX. Here's to hoping fans will get to hear the first single off the forthcoming album when they hit the SNL stage.

When does SNL air?
As always, SNL will kick off on NBC on Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET.
Can SNL be live-streamed?
You don't need TV to watch SNL because you can live stream the show on any smart device via NBC's website and app. You will, however, need a cable provider login to access the stream. Folks with pay-for subscriptions like Hulu +Live, YouTube TV, Sling and others can also watch the show on those platforms.
If you're only interested in catching the best sketches of the night, check SNL's YouTube channel after the show. All the clips from the night will be there. And if it's SNL banter you're looking for—which surely there will be plenty of with Chappelle set to host—you can follow along with all the social media conversations with the hashtag, #SNL.
