'Solar Opposites' Season 4 Expected Release Date: Everything We Know So Far

Solar Opposites returned to Hulu with its third season, which premiered in full on Wednesday, July 13.

While the show has only just come back, some fans are curious to know whether it will return for a fourth season, and if so, when.

The good news is Hulu has already confirmed that Solar Opposites will be back for a fourth season, as the streaming platform renewed the show early.

It was announced back in June 2021 that the show was renewed for a fourth season, and it was also confirmed that the season would be 12 episodes.

Co-created by Justin Roiland, one of the creative minds behind Rick & Morty, and Mike McMahan, the show follows a group of aliens who crash land on Earth after their home planet is destroyed.

The aliens, Korvo (Roiland), Terry (Thomas Middleditch), Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone), and Jesse (Mary Mack) decide to make do with their life on Earth, except two hate living humans and two do not.

Lead cast members Roiland, Middleditch, Giambrone and Mack are all expected to return for the fourth season to reprise their roles of Korvo, Terry, Yumyulack, and Jesse, respectively.

McMahan and executive producer Josh Bycel have already got plans underway for Season 4, and they have spoken about the storylines that will run into the next episodes, and one of the main plots confirmed for future episodes is more of The Wall.

The Wall is a place in which Yumyulack puts adults he had shrunk down after they annoyed him, and inside The Wall they built their own society and have their own adventures.

In an interview with Screen Rant, McMahan and Bycel shared how they loved the concept of The Wall from Season 1 but it became a bigger idea once they had actors like Alfred Molina and Christina Hendricks voicing characters inside it.

McMahan told the publication: "Once Andy Daly and Christina Hendricks and Alfred Molina voiced those characters and breathed life into them, we weren't done with it. So we were like, 'Okay, second season, we're still doing The Wall and we're gonna keep doing The Wall until we don't want to do The Wall anymore.'

"And then third season, we were like, 'Wait a minute, the original plan was to have different various small things turning into epic storylines. Why don't we just do both?'

"So we'll do The Wall and we'll do Silver Cops and the Wooden City will eventually return with its own story."

Following this comment, Bycel confirmed to the publication that the Solar Opposites team had already finished writing Season 4 and the plan is for the show to return in July 2023.

Hulu has not yet shared an exact release date for Solar Opposites Season 4, but it will likely be revealed in early 2023.
