Spectrum internet and cable customers were having issues with the service Thursday morning. Customers were reporting the issues they were experiencing online.
On the outage tracking site Down Detector, users reported they were having issues with internet and television for the most part. Spectrum has not been working for many users since 8:14 a.m. EST. A Spectrum outage map of the issues showed that they were widespread throughout the country with the most reports coming from New York, the Chicago area and Cleveland and Cincinnati, Ohio.
Users were finding that they had missing channels and internet connectivity problems. The issues had to do with a damaged fiber, according to Spectrum. "This is causing loss of channels throughout multiple markets within our service areas. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience," said a tweet from the Spectrum Ask account on Twitter.
