The biggest story in pop culture over the past week has been Spider-Man being abruptly pulled from the Marvel Cinematic Universe after a contract negotiations between Sony and Disney fell apart.

To help fans figure out whether Sony and Disney resolved their issues and Spider-Man could return to the MCU, a site called "Is Spider-Man back in the MCU Yet?" has been launched. This site simply lets visitors know whether or not Tom Holland's Spidey is returning to Marvel by offering a simple "nope" or "yup."

Currently, the site says that Spider-Man is not part of the MCU. That's true at the time of publish.

The news of Sony and Disney's business stalemate emerged last week when Deadline reported that the deal both companies agreed on expired, and during negotiations, Disney asked for 50 percent of the profit - a marked increase from the previous five percent. Sony wanted to keep the current arrangement, but, when Disney didn't accept the terms, Sony reportedly walked away from negotiations. Later it was reported that Sony tried to come to a compromise, but nothing was agreed on.

During this year's D23 expo, Disney's own convention, Holland appeared at a panel to promote his upcoming Pixar film, Onward, co-starring Chris Pratt.

Following the panel, Holland spoke to Entertainment Weekly to confirm he will continue to play Spider-Man at Sony.

"It's been five amazing years. I've had the time of my life," Holland said. "Who knows what the future holds? But all I know is that I'm going to continue playing Spider-Man and having the time of my life. It's going to be so fun, however we choose to do it. The future for Spider-Man will be different, but it will be equally as awesome and amazing, and we'll find new ways to make it even cooler."

Marvel Studios producer, Kevin Feige gave his own thoughts regarding Spider-Man leaving the MCU telling EW, "We got to make five films within the MCU with Spider-Man: two standalone films and three with the Avengers. It was a dream that I never thought would happen. It was never meant to last forever. We knew there was a finite amount of time that we'd be able to do this, and we told the story we wanted to tell, and I'll always be thankful for that."

Sony is reportedly developing two more Spider-Man films that spin off from Far From Home with Holland and director Jon Watts on board.

There is still a chance that Sony and Disney might come to some sort of agreement, but, if you want to know the answer to whether Spider-Man is still in the MCU, go visit the new site.

The "Is Spider-Man back in the MCU Yet?" site is similar to the "Did Thanos Kill Me?" landing page that popped up online after Avengers: Infinity War. That site would randomly tell visitors "you were spared by Thanos" or "You were slain by Thanos for the good of the universe."

What do you think of the new Spider-Man site? Do you think Sony and Disney will strike a deal? Let us know in the comments section below.
