AL Central Team Predicted to Have Underwhelming Trade Deadline

It is not too early to point out which teams will most likely be sellers at this season's trade deadline. Teams such as the Miami Marlins, Colorado Rockies and Chicago White Sox are headed toward bad seasons, and that usually means they'll see quite a bit of roster shuffle around the deadline.

Unfortunately for the White Sox, they might not have very much to offer this year. Bleacher Report's Tim Kelly has predicted the team's trade deadline moves and acquisitions will be quite underwhelming.

Outside of Luis Robert Jr, it seemed like left-handed pitcher Martín Pérez was going to be the most targeted player on the roster, but he is now likely to miss the rest of the season due to a flexor tendon strain.

That leaves a bit of a question mark as to who will now be on the market for Chicago. Andrew Vaughn? Andrew Benintendi? Michael A. Taylor? There are a lot of questions marks surrounding who will be going and who will be staying.

Another point made by Kelly, and it is a good one, is that it may no longer be a guarantee that Robert is on the move. He is scuffling big time so far this season with an average of just .170 and four home runs. Robert has more stolen baes (12) than RBIs (9) a bit of a worrisome sight for teams that could potentially be interested in him.

There is still plenty of time for Robert to get going before the trade deadline arrives and for a team that already has six top 100 prospects, the trade package that it will take to acquire Robert could push that number close to 10. Chicago's front office should be hoping Kelly's prediction doesn't come true and it is able to continue building for the future.
