Here's hoping Jefry Yan earns a spot on the Colorado Rockies' opening day roster.

Some baseball fans might be aware of the 28-year-old's outrageous strikeout celebrations. But a wider audience learned about Yan this week after videos of his wildly entertaining celebrations made the rounds on the internet.

Yan still is waiting for his first opportunity in the big leagues.

Originally an international signing by the Los Angeles Angels, Yan has spent the last 11 years pitching in various amateur and international leagues. He spent 2021 through 2023 in the Miami Marlins system before pitching in Japan for most of 2024.

In 2023, Yan posted an unsightly 15.00 ERA in six appearances for Miami's Triple-A affiliate. So, he has a long way to go before proving he deserves a spot in a Major League Baseball bullpen.

Still, it would be incredible to see Yan perform his trademark strikeout celebrations in a big-league game.
