The NBA trade deadline is less than 10 days away, and all signs point to it being one of the biggest in recent history.

A lot of NBA teams will look to improve their rosters or make significant changes. The trade deadline is the perfect time to make changes to either better their rosters or build for the future.

About half the league will do the latter, but another half may do the former, including the Memphis Grizzlies, currently the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.

The Grizzlies are back on top of the West, where they have been for the past four seasons, including this one. Memphis is looking to get over the top, and this massive trade idea sees them land Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine, one of the top players on the trading block.

Using Spotrac, the Grizzlies give up three of their key players to land the two-time All-Star.

Here's what the Grizzlies give up to land the former UCLA Bruin on their roster.

Grizzlies receive: Zach LaVine

Bulls receive: Marcus Smart, Luke Lennard, John Konchar, and a 2029 first-round pick

Why the Grizzlies do this

The Grizzlies desperately need to make a roster change that bolsters them into legitimate title contenders, and this hypothetical trade does just that.

LaVine is a player who could help the Grizzlies with their backcourt offense outside of Ja Morant. The 29-year-old has been incredible, but more importantly, he has remained healthy. In 42 games this season, he is averaging 24.0 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 0.9 steals while shooting 51.1 percent from the field.

The Grizzlies could use a legitimate shot-taker and maker on their roster, and LaVine provides that.

Why the Bulls do this

The Bulls are one of the teams heading to their rebuilding era. They have been stuck in the middle for a handful of seasons now, and it is time to officially rip the bandage off.

Chicago gets back three solid pieces in this hypothetical trade, plus a first-round pick for the 2029 NBA Draft.

The Grizzlies will be solid and contend for the next few years, so a first-round pick in the next few seasons will not be useful for the Bulls.

Conclusion

LaVine is likely to be moved as we approach the deadline, and this trade idea helps all parties involved, especially the best player in this trade idea.
