Celtics to be Potentially Without Three Starters for Game 3

The Boston Celtics will hit the road for Game 3 to take on the Orlando Magic for their first-round series.

The Celtics will look to take a 3-0 commanding lead, but they may need to do so without their three key starters: Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Jrue Holiday.

Brown and Holiday are both listed as questionable. As for Tatum, he is listed as doubtful ahead of Game 3.

The Celtics took care of business in Game 2 without Tatum on the floor, winning rather comfortably thanks to a spectacular performance by Brown, 109-100.

Boston is still viewed as the favorite according to ESPN Bet with a -3.5 spread. The Celtics have a deep enough squad to win the series even with three of their top player banged up, but as for this matchup, it may be a tough one to overcome.

Tatum is in danger of missing his second consecutive playoff game of his career with a right wrist injury. If he happens to be ruled out, expect Al Horford to take his spot in the starting lineup again. Boston may also use Sam Hauser again, as he played 13 minutes in Game 2.

The 27-year-old superstar suffered his wrist injury in Game 1 in the fourth quarter after a hard foul by Magic guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Tatum was on the ground for several minutes, but ultimately got up. He was seen grimacing, whincing, and holding his right wrist.

It's unclear how serious this issue is, but it may be serious enough to keep him out for the rest of the series.

As for Brown, he was shockingly downgraded to questionable due to his knee issue. While his knee has been a topic of discussion leading up to this series, that didn't seem to be an issue for him on Wednesday. He was by far the best player on the court, tallying a game-high 36 points on an efficient 12-of-19 shooting from the field, 10 rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 42 minutes of action.

Brown is now in real danger of missing Game 3. With Brown, the Celtics may just be steering on the side of caution.

Holiday is also listed as questionable due to a right hamstring strain. In Wednesday's game, he logged 36 minutes in the win. If he is unable to go, Payton Pritchard is likely to see a bump in minutes.

Boston will look to take down a young and hungry Magic team in front of their crowd, which is expected to be hostile.
