Shams Charania of ESPN reported on X that the NBA has handed Draymond Green a $50,000 fine for remarks that cast doubt on the integrity of the officiating, explicitly referencing the 5.5-point spread in a recent game.

"Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been fined $50,000 for making an inappropriate comment that questions in integrity of game officials, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations.

"Green's actions took place during the Warriors' 102–97 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves Game 3 of their conference semifinals playoff series on May 10 at Chase Center."

Green's comments were made after their Game 3 loss at home on Saturday.

The 34-year-old veteran forward appeared to tell his teammates that the Timberwolves were favored by 5.5 going into Game 3. He appeared to be saying, "I know what they're doing," referring to the game officials.

Green joins a short list of players recently fined for making the "money" gesture—rubbing their fingers together—directed at officials. Others who have faced similar penalties include Trae Young of the Hawks, Rudy Gobert of the Timberwolves, and Lakers star Luka Doncic.

Although this marks the first time Green has been fined for the "money" gesture, he's no stranger to league discipline. Over the course of his career, Green has racked up approximately $900,000 in fines and forfeited more than $3 million in salary due to suspensions.

He's tallied over 230 technical fouls and has been suspended six times, underscoring a pattern of on-court behavior that continues to draw attention from league officials.

While Green has been known for his aggressive acts, there is no doubt about his impact on the court and on the Warriors. He is a bona fide Hall of Famer, and his resume speaks for itself. In his career, Green did his part to lead the Warriors to four titles, was named a four-time All-Star, 2017 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, an eight-time All-NBA Defensive Team, and a two-time Olympic Gold medalist.
