Nuggets' Aaron Gordon Provides Big Update on Hamstring Injury

The Denver Nuggets were able to hold off elimination in Game 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, grabbing a massive win at home. But toward the end of the contest, Nuggets star Aaron Gordon suffered a hamstring injury, and his status for Game 7 remains up in the air.

Denver interim head coach David Adelman spoke after the game, saying that the concern was high for his forward. Gordon also provided an update on his hamstring after the game, saying that he was getting ready for the win-or-go-home matchup.

"I feel OK. We'll see. I'm going to start the recovery process now and make sure I'm getting ready for Game 7."

Hamstring injuries are no joke, so the Nuggets will be very cautious with how they proceed with Gordon. Luckily for Denver, Game 7 isn't until Sunday, giving the forward multiple days to recover from the initial injury.

If Gordon were to be forced to miss Game 7, it would be a massive loss for the Nuggets. The forward has been one of the better players in this series for Denver, and his presence would be drastically missed on the floor.

Gordon hit the game-winning shot in Game 1 on the road, giving the Nuggets a boost in the series. The forward has been able to show his worth against the Thunder, so the hope is that he will be able to suit up.

Over 51 games played this season, Gordon averaged 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 0.5 steals per game. His value to the Nuggets is great, and he gives them a lethal scoring option alongside Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

Game 7 will likely be a challenge, with or without Gordon in the lineup. The Thunder were the best team in the NBA this past season, so the Nuggets will need to dig deep if they want to advance.
