Indiana fan Hans Perez was caught in the middle of a flood of New York fans, catching some of the mob mentality. Video shows fans throwing things at Perez, including what looked like a large bag of trash.

Perez has now broken his silence on the matter, appearing on The Pat McAfee Show.

"I've been wearing that jersey all playoffs long, I've been supporting my Pacers, I had to go by Madison Square Garden... I said 'I don't know if I should go into the mob, but I'm gonna go close by, feel the energy, get ready for the series...last year Pacers, Knicks Game 7, I was there, I was at the Garden, I had tickets, I was there with the Pacers jersey, they were a little nicer, it wasn't a Friday night, this year they got me."

It seems that Perez is in good spirits, all things considered. Luckily, he wasn't hurt from the incident, despite the initial look of it all.

But that wasn't the end of the surprises for Perez as McAfee brought on Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton to speak with him. Haliburton told him that he would be personally bringing him to Game 4 of the Pacers series against the Knicks.

"I personally wanna bring you and a plus one out to Indiana for game four..Everybody in our organization wants to make sure that you're taken care of"

This is an awesome move by Haliburton and the Pacers. Perez will now get to see his team in action against the Knicks.

The Pacers and Knicks have a long rivalry in the postseason, meeting eight times. The Pacers have won the last three matchups, including in the playoffs last year.

The two teams last met in the conference finals in 2000, with the Pacers taking the series in six games. The two organizations have been pitted against one another for years, and the next chapter in the history is about to be written.

Game 1 between these two teams is set to kick off on Wednesday, May 21, at 8 p.m. ET.
