The Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers opened the 2025 playoffs with an early afternoon tip-off. The game was played in Indianapolis in front of the loyal Pacers fans, giving Indiana a slight advantage heading into the game.

The Pacers took the game by a score of 117-98, earning a massive 1-0 lead in this playoff series. Indiana wouldn't be denied and gave their fans something to cheer for.

However, the game was basically over before it started, as the Bucks were run off the court. Indiana led 67-43 at halftime, and they didn't stop there.

The Bucks shot 12.5 percent from beyond the 3-point line in the first half, giving them the worst performance of the season. It was simply a day to forget for Milwaukee.

The Pacers dominated the Bucks in pretty much every way, en route to a perfect series start. Milwaukee was without star point guard Damian Lillard, but there weren't many who saw this type of performance take place.

Lillard has been out due to a serious blood clot issue, but did receive clearance to play in the postseason earlier this week. The star is in the ramp-up process of his return and is expected to play fairly soon.

For the Bucks, star Giannis Antetokounmpo did his part, but it wasn't enough to overcome the power of the Pacers. Antetokounmpo finished the game by scoring 36 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, and blocking two shots.

Without Lillard, the Bucks looked for someone else to step up, but it never happened. Forward Kyle Kuzma had a dud of a playoff debut for the Bucks, scoring a big fat zero for the team.

Game 2 of this series will take place on Tuesday, with both sides looking to make a statement. If Indiana can grab a 2-0 series lead, it could be tough for the Bucks to advance in the playoffs.

It remains to be seen if Lillard will be able to play in Game 2, but it could change everything if he does. Many believe this series is over already after one game, but the Bucks may have some extra juice up their sleeve.
