Williamson has been a member of the New Orleans community since the team drafted him ahead of the 2019-20 NBA season. New Orleans selected him with the first overall pick out of Duke University.
Since then, the star forward has seen many ups and downs while in the NBA but he has remained positive throughout. Injuries have taken hold of his true potential, but the Pelicans still believe he can lead them forward.
Williamson has been a two-time All-Star in his short career, showing the type of impact he can make when on the floor. Alongside co-star Brandon Ingram, Williamson gives New Orleans a legitimate duo.
