The Oklahoma City Thunder have released their injury report, which has no surprises with the top seed already locked up.
They have ruled out both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with a left shin contusion and Chet Holmgren with a lower back spasm for the second-to-last game of the season against the Utah Jazz.
The team also has ruled out Jalen Williams (right hip strain), Alex Caruso (right ankle sprain), Luguentz Dort (right patellofemoral), and Isaiah Hartenstein (left achilles tendinitis). With nothing to play for at this point in the season, it would be more surprising if the Thunder's top players were playing than the fact they aren't.

For the Jazz, they will be without most of their key players as well, such as Lauri Markkanen, Walker Kessler, John Collins, and Jordan Clarkson.
Overall, this game will be more of a tryout game than an actual competitive game. The Thunder will be looking to see who will fill out the end of their rotation come playoff time when minutes get distributed more to the starters.
The Jazz are locked into a top-three spot in the lottery, currently tied for the worst record in the NBA at 17-63 with the Washington Wizards. They, too, could be viewing this game as a bit of a tryout, but for next season rather than the playoffs.
While the Thunder can't beat the all-time season wins record, in which they are seven wins behind currently, they could keep pushing to get as close as possible in the final two games.

They've already surpassed the franchise's previous all-time wins record of 64 wins, so they could try to extend it even more.
The Thunder could have a tough first-round matchup, no matter what happens in what has been a tough Western Conference as usual. The current play-in teams are the Dallas Mavericks, the Sacramento Kings, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Memphis Grizzlies.

However, the seventh seeded Grizzlies and eighth-seeded Timberwolves are each just two games behind the third-seeded Los Angeles Lakers. It seems that while the Thunder dominated the rest of the NBA during the regular season, they aren't getting the greatest of rewards for it being in the gauntlet of the Western Conference.
The Jazz, at this point, are hoping Duke standout Cooper Flagg will save the franchise next season. They are a young roster in the midst of a rebuild under Danny Ainge, but that doesn't take away the fact that this season was a disappointing one.
