The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the better teams in the entire NBA and they are considered one of the favorites to win it all this season. Oklahoma City has built the team from the ground up and they still have a ton of draft capital to work with in potential trades down the line.
If Oklahoma City wanted to bring in another star player, they are one of the most well-positioned teams across the NBA. And as we get closer to the NBA trade deadline, the Thunder could look to bring in some extra talent to help solidify themselves before the postseason.
A new trade scenario by Ishaan Bhattacharya of Fadeaway World sees the Thunder take a chance to land an All-Star. The deal would be between the Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans, landing Zion Williamson in Oklahoma City.
Here is what the deal would look like:
Oklahoma City Thunder Receive: Zion Williamson ($36.7 million), Jeremiah Robinson-Earl ($2.1 million)
New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Isaiah Joe ($12.9 million), Aaron Wiggins ($10.5 million), Kenrich Williams ($6.6 million), Nikola Topic ($4.9 million), 2028 First-Round Pick (DAL)
"He would fit into the Thunder's style provided he recommits to defense while also deferring to Shai at all times. This means the end of Zion as a No. 1 option, but he could complete a ridiculous lineup that retains Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren alongside Shai and Zion. They can score on all three levels with all of them except Chet being adept passers."

Adding a player like Williamson could drastically impact the Thunder and how teams would defend them in the playoffs. Due to his explosiveness, he could pair well next to Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
This would be the Thunder buying low on Williamson as he has dealt with all sorts of injuries throughout his career. But Oklahoma City has one of the better front offices in the NBA so this deal would be well calculated before it was executed.
The Thunder would become the favorites in the NBA and Williamson would give them another weapon to use on both ends of the floor. If he could stay healthy, this could be a massive steal for one of the better teams in the league.
