The Golden State Warriors have been re-energized since their acquisition of star forward Jimmy Butler. With Butler now in the fold, Golden State believes that they can really be title contenders this season.
Alongside both Steph Curry and Draymond Green, the Warriors feel good about their chances if they can reach the postseason. But as all good organizations do, the Warriors are looking ahead to the upcoming offseason.
It could be a big summer for Golden State and they could look to bring in more talent to the roster. One name that has popped up around the Warriors of late is Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid.
Embiid has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to injury but this could give the Warriors a chance to buy low. Philadelphia may want to get out from under the Embiid era and the Warriors could look to create a lethal star trio.

Eddie Bitar of Fadeaway World put together a list of landing spots for Embiid and had the Warriors as one of the top options. Despite his injuries, Embiid could be the perfect piece to fit alongside the other stars in Golden State.
Here is what a trade could look like if Golden State was going to look into a trade for the former MVP:
Golden State Warriors Receive: Joel Embiid
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: Jonathan Kuminga (Sign-And-Trade), Moses Moody, Brandin Podziemski, 2028 First-Round Pick, 2031 First-Round Pick

Due to all his injuries, Golden State may not even need to give up two first-round draft picks. But when healthy, Embiid is still one of the best players in the entire NBA.
Even with all his injuries this season, the star has averaged 23.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 0.9 blocks per game. His ability to score the ball would help unlock a different level to the Warriors' offensive attack, giving them much more firepower.
The star can stretch the floor with the best of them and his ability to protect the painted area would help. Golden State has been searching for a legitimate center for some time and Embiid could help fill that void.
Embiid has also played alongside Butler in the past so the two have worked well together previously. Golden State is looking to capitalize on the final few years from Curry and a trade for Embiid wouldn't certainly help them do just that.
