Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have become one of the most popular teams in college football over the last few years. The presence of the NFL legend has certainly brought eyes to the program.

Heading into the 2025 college football season, Sanders and Colorado will have to figure out how to replace their two biggest stars. Both quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter have taken their talents to the NFL.

With that being said, Sanders knows what he needs to do to build the Buffaloes into a College Football Playoff contender. He has to bring in elite talent via recruiting and the transfer portal, just like any other team in the nation.

One intriguing player to keep an eye on when it comes to Colorado is elite five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan.

Morgan, who hails from Alexander City, Alabama, is one of the best prospects in the nation. In fact, according to 247 Sports, Morgan is ranked No. 2 among all wide receivers, No. 11 in the nation, and No. 1 in the state of Alabama.

Sanders and company hosted Morgan on an official visit recently. That visit went well, and Morgan has spoken out with a strong message for the Buffaloes.

As shared by Steve Wiltfong of On3 Sports, Morgan liked what he experienced in Boulder.

"They got a great shot," Morgan said. This is my first time being there. I really enjoyed it."

Outside of football, Morgan also runs track and plays basketball as well. He's the pure definition of an athlete and would be a big-time get for Sanders and Colorado.

Plenty of programs would love to add Morgan. On3 Sports currently has given the Alabama Crimson Tide an 89.4 percent chance to land his commitment. Other teams involved in his recruitment are the Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Clemson Tigers, and Georgia Bulldogs.

At the very least, the Buffaloes and Sanders are making Morgan think about them. He clearly enjoyed his visit and is vocally giving Colorado a chance to earn his commitment.

Sanders will simply need to continue putting a full-court press on recruiting him. If the Buffaloes can figure out a way to bring him onboard, Morgan would be a huge step in the direction of making a run at the College Football Playoff.
