3 Best Fits For Baltimore Ravens in First Round of NFL Draft

The Baltimore Ravens have been on the cusp of greatness for years. Can this NFL Draft get them over the hump?

The Baltimore Ravens always seem to be just one piece away from breaking through in the AFC.

And with the Kansas City Chiefs seemingly trending downward - relatively speaking - they may finally have a chance to do just that.

If they are able to, the NFL Draft will have to play a major role, and finding a difference-maker at No. 27 overall.

Let's take a look at three players they could pick in Round 1 who can help get them over the hump.

Malaki Starks, DB, Georgia

One of the major needs for the Ravens heading into April 24 is in the secondary, and while there may be other more pressing needs elsewhere, Malaki Starks out of Georgia might be their best bet.

What makes Starks so special is his versatility. He could play anywhere in the secondary for the Ravens and be very successful. But if he sticks at safety and pairs well with Kyle Hamilton on the back end, there could be something seriously dangerous in the works for the Ravens.

Even if he plays in the slot or elsewhere, however, he will still be a tremendous addition for Baltimore.

Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

Arguably the biggest need for the Ravens heading into the draft is at edge rusher, where they need to find some help in a hurray. Fortunately for the Ravens, there should be a few options available fo them, and Donovan Ezeiruaku out of Boston College is a real possibility.

Odds are the top guys like Abdul Carter, Mykel Williams and even Shemar Stewart might be gone, but James Pearce Jr. and Ezeiruaku have a great shot of being there at No. 27.

If that ends up being the case, plenty of analysts, including ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., believe Ezeiruaku could be the better option due to his length.

Josh Conerly, OT, Oregon

The last position most are looking for the Ravens to fill is on the other side of the ball, where Baltimore needs some help along the offensive line.

Odds are, like at edge rusher, most of the top names will be off the board. One that might still be there, however, is Oregon's Josh Conerly Jr., who tested near the top of the NFL Combine for athleticism and production scores at his position.

Star quarterback Lamar Jackson would also surely appreciate the added protection on Sundays.
