Rodgers has most recently been linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason after the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants went in other directions. But as of now, he said he's been focused on personal matters that have taken his attention away from football.

"I'll set it all straight. From the jump, I'm in a different phase of my life," Rodgers said. "I'm 41 years old, I'm in a serious relationship, I have personal commitments I've made... and people in my inner circle battling difficult stuff. To make a commitment to a team is a big thing."

Aaron Rodgers Reveals Asking Price in Free Agency

Rodgers did make it clear that he told teams it wasn't about the money, saying he'd play for $10 million next season instead of $30 million or $40 million, and wasn't worried about a multi-year deal.

Aaron Rodgers Opens Up on Free Agency

Rodgers revealed which teams he met with in free agency.

"It was a few teams," Rodgers said. "I did talk to (Giants head coach) Brian Daboll, had great conversation with him, enjoyed him a lot. ... (Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell) is a buddy of mine, and we talk during the season. It was a great experience, obviously I went out to Pittsburgh."

He said he wasn't waiting on the Vikings to change their minds and offer him a contract.

As for Pittsburgh: "Listen, this entire time I haven't felt like I owed somebody any decision at some point," Rodgers said. "I've been upfront with them about that. If you need to move on, call me, by all means. There's been no deadline. And yeah, I've talked to (Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin) many times."

Aaron Rodgers Slams Jets for Mishandling Conversation

Rodgers also opened up on his meeting with the Jets this offseason in which they told him they were going in a different direction.

Rodgers was unhappy with the team making him fly out ot New York on his own dime just to tell him they were moving on.

"Listen, that was an interesting two years to say the least," Rodgers said of his time in New York. "I figured that when I flew across country on my dime there would be a conversation. The confusing thing to me is I went out there, I meet with the coach, we start talking ... he runs out of the room. I'm like, that's strange. Then he comes back with the GM and I'm like, all right. So we sit down and I think we're going to have this long conversation and 20 seconds in and he (Aaron Glenn) goes, 'You sure you want to play football?' And I said yes and he said, 'We're going in another direction.'"
