The Cleveland Browns still have a major decision to make regarding bringing star running back Nick Chubb back. Though many fans are likely wanting to see Chubb return, that is unlikely to happen.

Browns General Manager Andrew Berry revealed on 93.2 The Fan that the team it is "increasingly unlikely" that the team is going to bring Chubb back for the 2025 season.

Though Chubb has spent his entire career with Cleveland, it appears that it will be time for him to move to another team. This is disappointing considering all that he has been through in his career.

Chubb was drafted by the Browns in the 2018 NFL Draft and had shown plenty of promise in his rookie season. He would end 2018 with 996 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.

Chubb followed that up with a 1,494-yard season in 2019 and a 1,067-yard season in 2020. His 2020 season would be the first time suffering a major injury, as an MCL injury would sideline him for four games.

Following the 2020 season, Chubb continued to churn out yards on the ground, securing two more seasons of over 1,000 yards.

During the 2023 season, Chubb suffered the worst injury of his career, which occurred in Week 2 of the regular season. Chubb was struck at his knee, suffering an eerily similar injury to the one he suffered while in college in 2015.

It was later revealed that Chubb had a torn MCL and ACL damage to his knee. He would miss the remainder of the season, and would not be activated until Week 7 of the 2024 regular season.

Chubb was meant to make his grand return to the field in the 2024 season, but he suffered yet another season-ending injury. Week 15 saw the star back suffer a broken foot, leading to him missing the rest of the season.

Chubb might still be a good back if he can get over his injury concerns, but it sounds like the Browns are going to move on from the back this season.

Cleveland drafted Quinshon Judkins out of Ohio State in the second round of the draft, and the team also has Jerome Ford to lead the room.

Chubb spent his entire career with the Browns, and though he has left it all on the field for the team — his injuries are the biggest reason he will not be brought back. Should he be completely healed and ready to go for 2025, there are likely to be multiple teams that want to bring him in.
