The Jaguars gave away a generational haul for Hunter, who plays both wide receiver and cornerback. He was announced as both a wide receiver and cornerback when he was drafted. He also said on ESPN that the Jaguars had him talk to both coordinators when they told him he was being drafted.
Full Jaguars and Browns Trade for Travis Hunter
The Jaguars traded two first-round picks, as well as a second-round pick for Hunter. Here's the full trade, per multiple reports:
Jaguars receive: No. 2 overall pick (first round), No. 104 overall pick (fourth round), and No. 200 overall pick (sixth round).
Browns receive: No. 5 overall pick (first round), No. 36 overall pick (second round), No. 126 overall pick (fourth round), and a 2026 first-round pick.

ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed the Jaguars and Browns had been discussing this trade for two weeks. Now, it comes to fruition as the Jaguars got their top target.
Schefter also confirmed the Jaguars plan to use Hunter at both wide receiver and cornerback.
"Jaguars are expected to play their first-round draft pick Travis Hunter on offense and defense," Schefter wrote on X. "They will on-board him by giving him a heavy dose of the wide receiver position while still playing him at his more natural position on defense. Two positions for pick No. 2."
The Jaguars were a team that many around the league expected to make a splash on Thursday.

That splash turned out to be Hunter, and the league's youngest general manager — 34-year-old James Gladstone — made a name for himself early in Thursday's first round.
As for the Browns, they get a massive haul for the No. 2 pick, and are now reportedly open to trading down again from No. 5.
Per The Athletic's Dianna Russini: "The Cleveland Browns are taking calls from teams interested in the No. 5 pick, per source. I'm told they're open to moving down again."
