NFL rumors are starting to swirl now that the 2025 NFL Draft is here. Considering there could be multiple teams trading up or down in the first round and more, there are also players who could be on the move as part of trade packages for draft capital.

One such player who has continually been mentioned in trade rumors is New York Jets star running back Breece Hall. Hall's name has apparently been mentioned in weeks as a trade chip.

NFL insider Josina Anderson posted on X, "source tells me they've heard about the potential* availability of #Jets RB Breece Hall 'within the last week and a half.'"

The rumor mill is nothing to stake a claim in terms of accurate reports, but it appears that Hall has caught wind of his potential to be leaving New York — and he appears to be a fan of the rumors.

Hall took to X to post a simple caption of an emoji indicating "fingers crossed." While this post is certainly not a guarantee that he wants out of New York, it can be inferred that he wants to suit up for another team in 2025.

Hall has spent his entire three-season career with the Jets, after being drafted by the team in 2022 out of Iowa State. During those three seasons, he has secured 2,333 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, along with 1,292 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns.

Hall finished the 2024 season with 876 rushing yards, five touchdowns, 483 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns.

Hall is a dual-threat running back who could easily boost the rushing attack for any team. He has also dealt with the tumultuous New York landscape that now has a new head coach and general manager.

The Jets have gone 7-10, 7-10, and 5-12 in the last three seasons, which is likely a big reason why the speedy running back would want out. New York continually underperforms despite being a team that many peg to be contenders every season.

With Aaron Rodgers gone and a new coaching staff in place, the organization still has many unanswered questions to deal with in 2025. Hall has dealt with the up-and-down nature of the team in his first three seasons, and could likely want some stability for once in his career.

The Jets pick No. 7 overall, but could use Hall as a player to trade to move into the top five picks to land a much-needed franchise quarterback. Anything can happen, but it does appear that Hall is willing to leave.
