The New York Jets addressed the quarterback position in free agency, signing former Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields to a two year deal. However, that doesn't mean they should be satisfied at the position.
In the first round, the Jets have the seventh overall pick, which they could address a quarterback with.

In an article on the ideal NFL draft scenarios for each team from Chad Reuter of NFL.com, the ideal scenario for the Jets is to select Jaxon Dart in the first round.
In the overall scenario, Cam Ward goes first and Shedeur Sanders goes third, leaving Dart as potentially the best remaining quarterback prospect. While the Jets selecting Dart would be a good move, it is hard to say selecting him seventh is ideal.
Dart may fall to the second round depending on how the board falls, which would make the ideal selection beginning of the second round rather than in the first round.
Dart was solid from a production standpoint and has good arm talent, but his decision-making and gunslinger mentality could hold him back. He is viewed as an intriguing talent, but not really a first-round talent, with Shedeur barely even viewed as a first-round talent by many NFL draft analysts.

This would also be an interesting pick from a Justin Fields perspective. In each of his last stops, he was brought in but had competition at the position that ultimately pushed him away.
In Chicago, the Bears drafted Caleb Williams first overall, which made Fields expendable, and getting traded to the Steelers.
With the Steelers, Fields began last season as the starter, but Russell Wilson eventually took over and kept the starting role, leaving Fields to be used as just essentially a wildcat quarterback.

In the second round, the Jets select defensive tackle Alfred Collins, a player who would help the team a lot and comes from a position group that has plenty of talent in this year's draft class.
The Jets may address defensive tackle in the first round if Mason Graham falls to them at seven, but otherwise, helping out the defense that started off strong but fell off last year but still has plenty of talent to be a great unit.
Despite adding Justin Fields and him likely being the starter, adding a quarterback in the draft would make a lot of sense for the Jets, along with adding more young defenders to what should be a great unit in a less dysfunctional environment under new head coach Aaron Glenn.
