The 2025 NFL draft has come and gone. It moved quickly, but for the New York Giants, the effect of this draft could be felt for many years to come.
Right off the bat, the Giants brought in a key piece of the future in edge rusher Abdul Carter. Later in the first round, New York made the aggressive move to trade back in and add quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Those two picks will likely become two of the main leaders of the Giants down the road.

Throughout the remainder of the draft, New York continues adding quality young talent. Among the draft picks were defensive tackle Darius Alexander, running back Cam Skattebo, and offensive lineman Marcus Mbow.

Fans have many reasons to be excited about the Giants heading into the future.
Jon Gruden is a huge fan of what New York did in the 2025 draft class. He spoke out and revealed the Giants as the team that he feels had the best draft out of the entire NFL.
In a video shared on his personal X page, Gruden broke down why he is so high on what New York did in the draft.
"You know, the MVP experience of last week's draft is the New York Football Giants. I love what they did," Gruden said. "I love Abdul Carter. I mean, I love Darius Alexander in the third round ... and I love Jaxson Dart. We had him at Gruden's QB camp. He's going to be the future QB of the Giants. I'm excited to watch this, man. And you know who I really love? Cam Skattebo from Arizona State — the perfect New York Giant. I'm really fired up for the New York Football Giants."

Those words should excite the Giants' fans even more. Gruden knows football, and he's expecting this draft class to make a major impact.
Carter and Dart are the two clear headliners. Both players had big-time seasons in college last year.
During the 2024 college football season at Penn State, Carter racked up 68 total tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 12.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, and four defended passes. Dart, on the other hand, completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 2024 for Ole Miss, chipping in 495 yards and three touchdowns on the ground as well.
Expect to see this draft class pay off for New York. The Giants added a lot of talent across the board, including two players who should be building blocks for the team to build around.
