The Green Bay Packers will be without star cornerback Jaire Alexander for their Week 4 showdown with the Minnesota Vikings. He has been dealing with a quad and groin injury.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the news on social media.

Losing Alexander for this matchup is tough but especially due to the fact that Minnesota has star wide receiver Justin Jefferson in the lineup. Alexander has become one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL so his absence will certainly be felt in the Packers' secondary.
He was limited to just seven games last season due to injury, posting 27 total tackles and zero interceptions. Alexander was hampered all year long and he wasn't able to make the impact that we have grown accustomed to.
In 2022, he put up 56 total tackles and five interceptions. The former Louisville Cardinals star was drafted by Green Bay in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Through three games this season, Alexander has already made a high impact on the Green Bay defense. He has posted 11 total tackles and two interceptions, starting his 2024 season off very strongly.

The Packers defense has been pretty good this season and it has helped them stay afloat while quarterback Jordan Love was out due to injury. Love was activated to start against the Vikings, making his return to the field for the first time since suffering an MCL injury in Week 1.

Green Bay has been able to stay alive behind some strong quarterback play from backup Malik Willis. Willis was thrust into the starting role after the injury to Love but has surprised everyone with his performances.
He led Green Bay to two wins, throwing for 324 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions. The former Liberty product also made a difference on the ground, rushing for 114 yards and one touchdown to show off his dual-threat capabilities.
With a showdown against the Vikings this week, the Packers will be looking to take control of the NFC North. Minnesota has been one of the better teams in the NFL this season so getting a win over them would be massive for their chances the rest of the way.
Green Bay will be looking to improve to 3-1 on the season while sending the Vikings to their first loss of the new year.
