Pete Carroll is back in the game in 2025 after landing the head coaching job for the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason.
The coach immediately got to work improving the roster. Geno Smith, Carroll's former quarterback in Seattle, was added via trade and the team added solid players like Jeremy Chinn and Elandon Roberts in free agency.

Now, the Raiders are preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft, in which they hold the No. 6 pick in the first round.
Ahead of the draft, Carroll and the Raiders have shared a few cryptic posts with the coach revealing that he would be posting "draft clues."
The coach followed up that announcement by posting a gif from the famous TV show "The Office," in which the characters are participating in a "Texas Standoff."
Naturally, many fans immediately took this to mean the team will be selecting Texas offensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr.

Kelvin Banks went to Texas
Banks would certainly fit in well in Las Vegas as one of the best offensive lineman in this class.
Banks played all of his college snaps at left tackle and impressed as a pass-blocker and run-blocker. The tackle earned an elite 86.2 Pro Football Focus grade for his 2024 efforts, and has the arm length and strength to stay at tackle in the NFL.
In Vegas, Banks could immediately start at right tackle since Kolton Miller has a frim grasp on the left side. It's also possible the team could utilize Banks as a guard at first and keep D.J. Glaze at right tackle.
Glaze was drafted by the Raiders in the third round last year and the tackle showed some promise. Glaze ended the 2024 season with a 66.1 Pro Football Focus grade, which is not bad for a mid-round rookie.
It will be interesting to see if Carroll reveals any more clues before the pick. However, it seems obvious that their first-round pick will come out of Texas.
