Being given an opportunity to learn from one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game would be a perfect scenario for Howard. The former Ohio State star isn't expected to start this season anyway. Sitting behind Rodgers for a year could help him prepare to play sooner.
As for the Steelers, a Rodgers signing would make them an immediate serious Super Bowl contender. Even though things didn't go well for the New York Jets as a team last season, the 41-year-old quarterback played good football.

Rodgers completed 63 percent of his pass attempts last year for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Even if he simply replicated those numbers in 2025 for Pittsburgh, the Steelers would take a step forward at the position from last year.
Only time will tell what Rodgers chooses to do and what Howard can become in the future, but things are looking up for Pittsburgh. Most analysts and experts believe that Rodgers will sign with the Steelers, which would give Howard an even greater chance of finding success in the NFL by learning from one of the best.
